Sponsoring is a very important area to any Direct Sales business, but in fact can be scary to many Consultants. But instead of being caught up in whether a prospective Consultant will say “yes” or “no,” focus on getting the message of SimplyFun across.
Dr. Steve Taubman, a Direct Sales speaker, recently shared on the Direct Sales Women’s Alliance Blog that one of the most powerful areas of Sponsoring is clarity:
Dr. Taubman suggests that Consultants “continue asking questions to help people get past their knee-jerk reactions and distinguish for themselves the difference between vague, murky feelings and a true understanding of what they’re being asked to choose.” Some of these powerful questions can be “what have you heard?” or “how specifically?” These questions will help you discover the true understanding of a prospective Consultant and how interested they are.
Most importantly, when holding a Sponsoring conversation, it is important to clearly explain the SimplyFun business opportunity. With more understanding, people will see how SimplyFun will benefit them greatly and maybe even help them change their lives. However, as Dr. Taubman shares, “not everyone is ready. So, share your passion and educate your prospects, but accept the fact that some people, in their heart of hearts, don’t want to share in that journey.”
By being clear in your sponsoring conversation, you will be able to share the importance of Learning and Connecting through Play and what a difference any Consultant can make! So don’t be scared, be confident and clear, and it will pay off!
